  • Mac (Apple silicon) and Apple Vision versions

Who each one is for

Gulooloo’s app has been renamed on the App Store: the id we track now shows “QR Code Generator - QRHyper”, with the description still opening “QR Code Generator & QR Creator”. It is a template-led static generator with a built-in scanner, 17,548 ratings and a 4.8 average. It updated on 20 September 2026 and runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision.

It suits someone who wants a decorated static code quickly and would rather pay once than subscribe. QR Studio suits the same person when the code has to go to print, be edited later, or be designed with help.

Where QR Studio is better

  • AI design partner. Gulooloo has templates; QR Studio has templates plus a conversational designer that checks every variant scans.
  • Vector export. SVG and print-ready PDF with bleed and crop marks. Gulooloo exports PNG, JPEG and WebP only, up to 2400 x 2400.
  • Dynamic codes and analytics. Not offered in the iOS listing.
  • Free tier. QR Studio’s free tier has no ads and no cap on static codes. Gulooloo’s privacy label says usage data is collected for “third-party advertising”. Our research file also records a 10-code free cap; the listing text does not state it, so treat that figure as unverified today.
  • Cloud sync. QR Studio codes follow your Apple ID. Gulooloo’s listing describes a per-device library.
  • Custom dot and eye geometry. Both offer eye and pattern choices; QR Studio’s are rendered live so a logo, a color and a shape can be tuned together.

Where QRHyper is better

  • Price. Lifetime PRO at $41.99 or $59.99 undercuts QR Studio Lifetime at $69.99.
  • Templates. A large, regularly updated set.
  • Picture-as-fill. Our research notes an option to color the modules with an image. It is not in today’s listing text, so we list it with that caveat.
  • Error correction picker. 7%, 15%, 25% and 30% exposed as a setting.
  • Rating volume. 17,548 ratings against a brand-new QR Studio.

Switching

Everything Gulooloo makes is static, so nothing breaks. Decode each code, paste the payload into QR Studio, pick a design and export SVG or PDF for anything headed to print. Wi-Fi and vCard codes carry their full content, so they rebuild without retyping.

Note

Prices change. We read the App Store listing and its In-App Purchases list on 24 September 2026. The 10-code free cap and picture-as-fill come from our September research notes and could not be re-checked against the listing text today.

Frequently asked questions

▸Is QRHyper free?

The download is free and ad-supported. PRO is sold as a subscription ($5.99 to $8.99 a month, $20.99 to $29.99 a year) or a one-off Lifetime PRO at $41.99 or $59.99, with two or three prices listed for each tier. Three free-trial items are also listed at $20.99, $29.99 and $30.99.

▸Can I move my codes from QRHyper to QR Studio?

Yes. Its codes are static, so the payload is inside the image. Decode each one, paste the content into QR Studio, restyle and export. Nothing stops working when you uninstall.

▸Does it make dynamic codes?

The iOS listing describes URL, text, Wi-Fi, business card, SMS and social codes with no editing after export or scan statistics. Our research notes a separate Android Pro app with dynamic codes; that is not the iOS app.

▸What export formats does it have?

PNG, JPEG and WebP at three sizes. There is no SVG or PDF, so a print shop gets a bitmap.
